Write Up:
It was a day full of unique memories. Started out calm the sun was shining. By the time we reached the top of Medicine Peak Mount Henry became enveloped in low clouds. As we neared it's summit visibility was reduced to about 20 ft. At which point we started hearing some thunder rumbling way to the north. The fog was very disorienting. At one point the group got separated in to two heading different directions we quickly realized this and regrouped by calling to each other in the fog. After some heated debate over which way was north using a GPS, map and compass, we chose what appeared to the correct path. We soon dropped below cloud level with Appistoki directly ahead of us. The thunder still seemed a long ways off when we started our assent from the saddle up Appistoki. Half way up Appistoki it started to rain, then suddenly every hair on the head of one of our team stood out on end in every direction. Knowing this meant we were in a possible lightning strike zone we high tailed it out of there.
